Julius Caesar
Julius Caesar at Tarleton State University. When beginning to design, the design team was given the concept of post-apocalyptic America, and I was told the director wanted little, to no, silence. The design of the show relies heavily on underscoring to emphasize the action taking place on stage. Americana music defined the show and kept the action on stage grounded in reality. The opening and closing of the show were original pieces written for this show.

Lizzie
Lizzie at Tarleton State University. Lizzie is a rock opera that explores Lizzie Borden and the alleged murder of her parents. When first approaching this design, the designers were told the concept of "Joan Jett meets the Victorian Era." From that moment I knew I wanted to create a rock concert on stage. On top of that, I took inspiration from Theatre of Cruelty with a goal of disturbing and upsetting the audience. With a four-piece orchestra consisting of a piano; guitar; bass; and drums; and an amazing four-person cast, every goal was accomplished.
